NJ: New home buyers find Rum bottles inside the walls

"IF these walls could....drink? Nothing beats the feeling of happiness and accomplishment of settling on a new home. Nothing beats "new". So we can understand the excitement of moving in to their New Jersey home. What they weren't expecting was a rude welcome housewarming gift from Mother Nature. A severe storm blowing their their neighborhood left their new basement flooded. Drywall needed to be ripped out and replaced with new.

While removing the water-damaged plasterboard, Roy Aukamp unearthed a stash of rum bottles within the walls. Hundreds of empty rum bottles to be exact. As the new less than amused homeowner continue to scoop out the bottles, his wife Cathy could be heard off in the distant chuckling "It's Five O'clock somewhere." The couple began posting their peculiar finding on social media. The incident prompted numerous jokes including references of the classic song: "99 Bottles of Beer on the wall" for "99 Bottles of Rum in the wall."

While the origins of this Captain Morgan haunting remain a mystery, we assume after initial cleanup there were only 29 bottles of beer in the wall.
