Tate McRae is bringing a new era to fans as the star has announced her brand new album So Close To What, and that she's heading out on her massive 'Miss Possessive Tour' next year.
So Close To What is Tate's third, full-length album, following 2022's Think Later. Her upcoming album represents the journey of growing up when the road ahead feels infinite, while also offering fans a glimpse into her exploration of self-discovery, love, and finding balance in moments of uncertainty.
Speaking to iHeartRadio, McRae said of her new album, "I am very excited about it and so proud of it. I've just gotten to work with some producers and people that I admire so much, and it feels like the music I listen to. There are some things, sonically, in this album that I just feel like make my heart happy in the sense of just like, I want to listen to this, and I think this is really cool."
So Close To What will be released on February 21st. You can pre-save the album HERE.
Tate will be supporting her new album with her 'Miss Possessive Tour,' that kicks off on March 18, 2025 in Mexico City, Mexico, and makes its way to the U.S. on August 13 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and makes stops in cities across the country including, Chicago, Detroit, Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Dallas and more, before wrapping up in Los Angeles, California on September 26. See the full list of tour dates below.
McRae told iHeartRadio of her tour, "I'm so excited. I mean, when I'm on stage on tour, it doesn't feel like you're alone up there. It feels like you're with everyone. It's just cool. It's everything I dream about. My favorite feeling on Earth, so I can't wait to be back. And we have so many ideas."
