The Governor's mansion in Princeton, New Jersey, known as Drumthwacket, is opening its doors to the public this holiday season. Governor Phil Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy have invited residents to partake in the longstanding tradition of The Holidays at Drumthwacket. The mansion, decorated by seven local garden clubs, will be open for tours on select days from Wednesday, December 4th through Wednesday, December 11th.
Each room in the public first-floor of the residence has been adorned with fresh arrangements and greenery to complement the architecture and decor of the historic property. The tours will be self-guided, with several docents stationed throughout the residence to answer questions and provide historical information about the property.
According to the official announcement, "Phil and I are happy to welcome thousands of New Jersey residents to what we like to call the People’s House for the holiday season,” said First Lady Tammy Murphy.
Reservations are required for the tours, and admission and on-site parking are free of charge. To make tour arrangements, visit the official website of Drumthwacket, the Official Residence of the Governor of New Jersey.
