A winter storm is expected to hit South Jersey starting Tuesday (February 11), bringing significant snowfall to the region. The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for eight counties, including Atlantic, Burlington, Cape May, Ocean, and Cumberland. Forecasters predict that southern New Jersey could see between four to six inches of snow by Wednesday morning (February 12). The storm is part of a series of potentially three winter storms forecasted for New Jersey this week.

According to NJ.com, the storm will begin Tuesday afternoon and could bring snowfall rates of up to one inch per hour in South Jersey. While winds are expected to be mild, difficult driving conditions are anticipated during the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes.

The storm follows a recent weather system that brought up to six inches of snow and ice to the region over the weekend. Forecasters also warn of a second storm, which could bring a mix of snow, sleet, and rain to the area starting Wednesday into Thursday (February 13). A third storm may arrive by the weekend, potentially bringing more rain or snow.

Residents are advised to stay informed about weather updates as the storm's track and intensity could change, affecting snow totals.
