G Herbo is warning fans about his experience battling what he called a "new flu strand."

On Sunday, April 6, the Chicago rapper took to social media and revealed he was recently hospitalized. He uploaded a photo that shows the inside of his hospital room including an electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG) machine next to his bed. On top of the photo, he wrote a message and warned his fans not to play around when it comes to a new strand of the flu.

"YALL BE SAFE OUT HERE BRO THIS NEW FLU STRAND AINT NO JOKE," he wrote.

It's not clear exactly when G Herbo was admitted to the hospital. Although his status is not confirmed, Herbo appears to be on the mend now that he's speaking about his experience.

G Herbo's PSA arrived a few days after he debuted his new project Greatest Rapper Alive. The 20-track project dropped on Friday, April 4, via his exclusive app and other streaming services. It comes a few months after he released his previous album, Welcome To Fazoland (Anniversary Edition). The album has zero features and contains songs like "Norfolk." Herbo recently dropped the music video for the aforementioned song at the end of last month.

If you haven't seen it already, watch the music video for "Norfolk" below.
