Emma Roberts is saying so long to romances with other actors.

In a new interview with Flaunt, the Nerve actress opened up about her past experiences dating other actors. Roberts previously dated Dahmer star Evan Peters off-and-on for seven years before calling it quits in 2019, later getting into a romance with Tron: Legacy actor Garrett Hedlund, with whom she welcomed son Rhodes in 2020, before they ended their relationship in 2022, per Entertainment Tonight.

According to Roberts, the type of actor she has dated in the past has been "difficult" to be with.

"Also the actors I've been with border on method actors, and that is something that I think is extremely difficult to be in a relationship with," she said, adding, "at least for me, especially the characters that they were playing."

Roberts said her revelation to keep away from romantic encounters with fellow actors came after the "veil was lifted." She is now in a relationship with a man who, while still involved in some aspect of the industry, is not an actor.

"One day, the veil was lifted and I didn't want to date actors anymore," she said. "It's hard, I think, for two actors to be together. I'm trying to think if I've seen it done successfully."

Roberts has been surrounded by famous faces her entire life, being born into a Hollywood family that includes her father, Runaway Train actor Eric Roberts, as well as A-list actress aunt Julia Roberts. The American Horror Story star recently added her two cents into the "nepo baby" debate, sharing how her experience being part of a famous family impacted her own career in show business.
