It looks like Nicki Minaj's recent unwavering praise of President Donald Trump has paid off.

The controversial rapper posted a photo of Trump's new Gold Card to her X account on Wednesday afternoon, January 28, with the simple caption. "Welp," she wrote. The immigration card, which reportedly acts as a fast pass to U.S. citizenship, is usually reserved for immigrants who pass a background check, pay a $15,000 processing fee to the Department of Homeland Security, and cough up a $1 million contribution. However, Minaj, who's spent the past few weeks gushing over Trump's policies in multiple viral social posts, got hers "free of charge."

"Finalizing that citizenship paperwork as we speak as per MY wonderful, gracious, charming President," Minaj boasted on X. "Thanks to the petition. 📋 I wouldn’t have done it without you. Oh CitizenNIKA you are thee moment."

Minaj obtained her Trump Gold Card after she participated in the Treasury Department's summit to promote the newly established “Trump Accounts,” which, according to its website, "provide eligible American children with tax-advantaged investment accounts courtesy of President Donald J. Trump." The "Everybody" rapper spoke at the summit and called herself "the president’s No. 1 fan.”

“And that’s not going to change,” she added. “And the hate or what people have to say, it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more, and it’s going to motivate all of us to support him more.”

Up until 2026, Minaj considered herself an illegal immigrant. In the midst of Trump's first wave of harsh immigration policies in 2018, she admitted to coming to the U.S. illegally when she was five years old. Now, she seems to align herself with the very policies she once despised.
