Snoop Dogg is showing love to his family after his only daughter announced the death of her firstborn child.
On Saturday, January 31, Cori Broadus shared a black-and-white photo of her baby, Codi Dreaux, and confirmed that the 10-month-old girl had passed away. She had just been brought home three weeks prior after spending months in the NICU following her premature birth.
"Monday, I lost the love of my life," Cori wrote. "My Codi."
"I been the saddest since u left me Codi Dreaux," father Wayne Deuce said on his Instagram. "But I know u at peace. Daddy will always love you."
Cori Broadus gave birth to Codi Dreaux at just six months. Since her arrival in February, Codi Dreaux spent her time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) until she was well enough to leave. Her parents spent months with Codi in the hospital and even shared a visual update on her progress in September in honor of NICU Awareness Month.
"Becoming a NICU mom was not part of the plan, but it became part of my story," she wrote on Instagram at the time. "I carry my little warrior’s strength with me every day."
Cori and Wayne finally brought their daughter home from the hospital last month. The couple celebrated her homecoming by thanking everyone for their support and prayers.
"She’s home," Broadus wrote on Instagram. "Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all."
Shortly after his daughter's announcement, Snoop Dogg showed love to his family during their rough time. He shared a photo of himself with his three children and used some loving emojis for his caption.
Rest in peace, Codi Dreaux.
