The 2026 Milan-Cortina Olympic Winter Games are officially underway, and Mariah Carey helped kick off the festivities with an breathtaking performance during the Opening Ceremony.

Carey lit up the stage at San Siro Stadium in Milan on Friday (February 6) with a multilingual performance, first singing in Italian with a rendition of Domenico Modugno's "Volare (Nel Blu Dipinto Di Blu)" before breaking out her signature high note to move into her own song "Nothing Is Impossible," from her 2025 album Here for It All, E! News reports.

Her dazzling wardrobe also perfectly matched the size of the performance, stunning in a silver and white gown and feathered cape accessorized with more than 300 carats of diamonds worth $15 million, courtesy of Levuma, per Page Six.

The "Fantasy" hitmaker later reflected on the monumental moment on Instagram, calling the performance a "dream."

"Such a dream come true to perform (in Italian!) at the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony," she wrote. "Thank you to everyone who made this happen, Nothing Is Impossible."
