T.I. wants to face 50 Cent in a Verzuz battle, but it doesn't seem like Fif wants to accept the challenge.
On Friday, February 6, Shannon Sharpe and Chad Ochocinco dropped their episode of Nightcap featuring Tip. During their conversation, the trio began to talk about Verzuz and who the Atlanta rapper would take on. T.I. originally pitched Gucci Mane to Swizz Beatz, but he really wants to go song-for-song with 50 Cent.
"I said I wanted 50,” Tip explained. “He don’t want no smoke, though.I called my man out, he don’t want no smoke. He ducking smoke. It’s cool.”
Tip has challenged 50 Cent to a Verzuz match a couple of times in the past. He first mentioned in 2020 at the height of the popular battle series and again in 2021, however, Fif never took the bait. After the clip went viral over the weekend, 50 Cent responded the only way he knows how. He posted a video clip of Tip participating in a Crimestoppers commercial urged him to keep his name out his mouth.
"I know Atlanta pick and choose who they support, but 😆yall gotta do better," he wrote. "LOL 😆keep my name out ya mouth !"
In another post, Fif suggested Tip is a snitch by sharing a clip of Tip testifying during a court hearing in 2008. At the time, the "Let Em Know" rapper was called to testify against Hosea Thomas, who was charged in the fatal shooting of his friend and assistant, Philant Johnson. Johnson was killed after a performance in Cincinnati in 2006. He was charged with manslaughter and sentenced to 66 years for the murder.
“No, no , i don’t like it 🤨No verses let’s do (The stay away challenge ) and stay away from me. LOL,” Fif said.
Looks like 50 Cent won't enter the Verzuz ring anytime soon — unless it's with The Game. In 2020, Fif told Big Boy that the only person he'd face off with in a Verzuz battle is his former artist. See what he had to say during that interview below.
