Ray J had fans concerned after they believed he performed with a heart monitor on his chest and blood dripping from his eyes.
The embattled R&B singer hit the stage with Bobby V, Sammie, 702, Sunshine Anderson, and Kelly Price for “An Intimate Valentine's Day Concert” on Saturday night, February 14. During his appearance, fans instantly noticed blood was running down his cheeks from his eyes. Once he removed his orange shirt, Ray J revealed what seemed to be a heart monitor attached to his chest. Despite his shocking ailments, Ray J seemed well enough to hop into the crowd to sing to his fans and joke around backstage.
Ray J's stunning appearance happened a few weeks after his doctors told him he had just months left to live. In an Instagram Live session, the seasoned singer claimed that medical professionals determined that his heart only beats at 25 percent. He has been experiencing heart issues for the past few weeks. At the beginning of January, he was admitted to a medical center in Las Vegas over a severe case of pneumonia. He had several tests done, including X-rays and an echocardiogram. At one point during his livestream, Ray J said the right side of his heart was black. He also reflected on all the drugs and alcohol he consumed, which he believes led to his medical issues.
"2027 is going to be a wrap for me," the R&B singer revealed during his livestream. "That's what the doctors said.. I shouldn’t have went this hard, bro. I shouldn’t have went that hard. And then, when it’s all done, burn me. Don’t bury me.”
Ray J was scheduled for a follow-up appointment with his doctors at the top of February; however, he seems well enough to perform. iHeartRadio has reached out to his team for an update on his condition.
