Allegiant Air will begin offering nonstop flights between Atlantic City International Airport and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, starting May 21, 2026, adding another vacation destination option for travelers in the Northeast.

The Las Vegas-based budget airline announced the new service on February 17, with promotional one-way fares starting at $49 for tickets purchased by February 18. The special pricing applies to travel through November 2026, though seats are limited and restrictions apply.

The new route will operate three times weekly on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, marking Allegiant's fifth destination from Atlantic City International Airport.

"We're thrilled to continue Allegiant's growth in Atlantic City by adding this new route," said Allegiant Chief Commercial Officer Drew Wells. "Our mission has always been to connect travelers to world-class destinations at an affordable price."

Stephen Dougherty, **South Jersey Transportation Authority**'s executive director, highlighted the benefits for local travelers: "For our passengers, this opens the door to a classic getaway with 60 miles of beaches, headline attractions like the SkyWheel, and a destination that's known by many as the Golf Capital of the World."

The announcement comes shortly after Allegiant's recent expansion at Atlantic City, where it launched several Florida routes including service to Punta Gorda, St. Pete-Clearwater, Fort Lauderdale, and Orlando/Sanford.

From the Myrtle Beach perspective, Allegiant Air director of airports Judi Olmstead noted, "Atlantic City continues to be a highly popular destination for Myrtle Beach residents and visitors alike, and these increased flights will provide travelers with even more choices and flexibility as they plan their summer getaways."

With this addition, Allegiant will offer flights to 21 destinations from Myrtle Beach International Airport, according to Myrtle Beach Online.

The expansion reflects Allegiant's strategy of connecting popular tourist destinations with direct, affordable flights. The airline joins Spirit Airlines and Breeze Airways as the third commercial carrier operating out of Atlantic City International Airport, with American Airlines providing shuttle bus service between the airport and Philadelphia International Airport.
