Jennifer Garner Details Working With 'The Last Thing He Told Me' Costars

Jennifer Garner is lifting up the women she stars alongside in the latest season of The Last Thing He Told Me.

In the series, based on the Laura Dave novel of the same name, Garner stars as a woman who navigates a new bond with her stepdaughter (Angourie Rice) when her husband goes missing. All three women, as well as new stars Judy Greer, Rita Wilson and executive producer Reese Witherspoon, appeared as guests on the Tuesday (February 17) episode of the Bookmarked by Reese's Book Club podcast where they spoke with host Danielle Robay about filming season two of the thriller, which premieres Friday, February 20.

During the chat, Garner reflected on the relationships she has forged with her costars both on and off set.

"Each one of these women play a role in my life outside of this particular show, and there's a depth that comes in, an ease and a knowing, and a fun, a mischief that comes in when you know someone and you get to do a scene with them," she said.

And the love goes both ways as Dave shared a hilarious anecdote about the time she accidentally drove her car into a scene where Garner was shooting. While she said some other actress "might have reacted badly," Garner kept a level head and "kindly turned to me and said, you're gonna want to park over there — and that is who she is."
